Sunday was Uncle S and Aunt S's last day in CO. So after church we had a going away cake for them and took lots of pictures. Here's one of D and his brothers and P.
All the cousins....an even 10.
Getting ready for the cold weather up in MN!!!!!
My best friend L and my sister C. M knows I will really miss L not living up the street from us anymore. I think I am still too young to completely understand, so M is sad for me.
Just L and C.
L and I. We really are the best of friends. Everytime I see him I run up and give him hugs. We are more like siblings than cousins. I enjoyed him living only 4 houses away for one year. We played together quite frequently. Going back to G's house once M goes back to work won't be the same either without L there in the afternoons to play with. That's part of the reason that I get to go to preschool 2 days a week at M's work. So I can have lots of friends to play with.

Happenings
The Women of the Rockies surprised M at their January meeting with a "Welcome Baby Shower." I even got a couple presents...books! It was a nice suprise for us.
Proud P holding C. I think her expression means, "who is this crazy guy!!!"
C. all bundled up for one of our afternoon walks. M tries to get me out at least once a day. For her own sanity and for me to work off a little energy. Of course, C is always drug along--usually riding on M's chest in the baby carrier.
Seven weeks old and I still love her. Aren't we a cute set of girls??
We had D's whole family over for the Super Bowl on Sunday. It was fun to have all my cousins over (probably the last time for a really long time, since Cousin L is moving to MN in 2 weeks). Anyhow, I was a little upset because a few of my cousins locked me out of my room while they prepared a surprise for me. It was a fun surprise---the put all my letters out and added puzzle pieces with appropriate starting letter, to try to help me learn my alaphabet. Notice I am sitting on the letter B--for Brileigh.

We used the area as a dance floor shortly afterwards!!
Diaper explosion
I am so glad I am out of diapers (I bet M is too!!!). Here's what M had to deal with this morning with C. I'm sure every mother out there knows what I'm talking about!!
What a mess!!
All the way up to the neck---some of that was when M took the onesie off over her head.

Needless to say, C was taken directly to the bath (in this case the bathroom sink!!) to get all cleaned up. Just lounging away, enjoying the water and her reflection!!

Just like Mommy
Being at home with M all day is lots of fun. I have decided that I can be just like her. Here I am getting ready for our morning walk. I have my baby, just like M carries C.
I have also started feeding my baby doll just like M feeds C.
I enjoy my time at home with M, but we miss D each day. The evenings are fun when D comes home and wrestles with me or has the Tickle Bug attack me!!!

First outing
M's first outing with the 2 of us girls alone was on Friday to storytime at the library. It was lots of fun. But we tried to take in 2 storytimes with a half hour break in between and that got a little too long for me. I started getting hungry and a little antsy. But the first storytime (ages birth to 2 1/2) was lots of fun and we will probaby go back there again a few times while M is home on leave. We played finger games, sang songs, played games and read books.
The second story hour (for ages 2-3) included a craft time and 2 little stories. But again after being at the library for almost an hour and half, I was ready to be done and thus didn't sit nearly as quietly as I was supposed. The first class was better, when it didn't matter if I sat still.
Taking some time to rest on the bench inside the library while waiting for storytime to begin.
All in all, M thought her first outing with her two girls went well.

Family Visit
M's family came for one week to see my baby sister. It was a busy, fun-filled week. We played games and went for walks. Aunt R and her friend took me to the park on the sled to play in the snow. On Monday, they all went skiing while G stayed home with M, C and me. Then on Tuesday everyone went snowshoeing--again G stayed home to play with us.

Carrie's Baptism
While G&G were out to see us, we had C's baptism. Don't I have a wonderful family?

Hair disaster
Christmas day I had my first hair disaster. I was having fun with a Thomas train following me all over the house. After playing with it for about 20 minutes, I came to M looking like this!!!
Isn't it a wonderful barrette??!
My hair got all caught up in the wheels. Luckily when M cut my hair to release the train, it wasn't very noticable.

Christmas at home
My beautiful family Christmas Eve after Church Service.
Me and my sister in our Christmas dresses.
and us in our matching Santa pjs.
Christmas was very fun at our house. Santa brought me a Mickey Mouse Choo Choo Train and M&D got me the Mickey Mouse clubhouse. (M can't get any of the videos to work of me opening my presents, so you'll just have to take her word that I was very excited).
